- N&T Backbone Transmission Network (BTN) design specifications (Preliminary Design & Detailed Design) in line with N&T Engineering rules and relying on best practices inherited from previous projects (cross reviews with installation teams, cybersecurity teams, power experts)
- Ensure that all N&T BTN design documents remain in-line with project milestones and are elaborated as per project Documentation plan
- Minimize, by design, the N&T BTN deployment cost, lead time and risks
- Develop and elicit BTN Design requirements in line with project needs (internal & external), with a specific focus on BTN dimensioning and Cybersecurity concerns
- Check that external interfaces are consistent with N&T sub-system
- Participate in the support of the functional validation phase of the sub-system
- Collect and consolidate Return of Experience (REX) to Product Engineering teams and to N&T Project Engineering teams
- Provide iteration of the installation studies specific to N&T sub-system for BTN part
- Remain in constant contact with Project N&T Design Leader all along the project life cycle regarding progress of BTN Design activities
- Providing metier design specification and validation monitoring solution until customer acceptance,
- Minimizing by design the system deployment costs, lead time, and risks,
- Checking that external interfaces are consistent with the subsystem,
- Supervising and participating in the System deliveries (requirements management, architecture definition, interfaces definition, detailed design, system performance, etc.),
- Participating in the Design Reviews,
- Contributing to the definition of the functional validation phase of the subsystem (FIVP)
- Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues,
- Work with wayside security systems including CCTV, Public Address (PA), Passenger Information System (PIS), Access Control, and more within the railway sector,
- Progress towards achieving QCD commitments, delivering project specifications on time, and ensuring project requirements maturity,

- Taking our existing hardware products and interfacing them into larger wayside and vehicle systems.
- Preparing documentation for our hardware subsystem and its associated bill of materials.
- Preparing customer documentation and presenting this subsystem to customers during design reviews.
- Analyzing the existing system architecture for the points of connection of our equipment into the larger wayside or vehicle system in order to ensure that the correct interface exists.
- Assist in testing and configuration of our equipment into the larger wayside or vehicle systems.
- Elaborate or contribute to the elaboration of Hardware specification & architecture, in collaboration with the Hardware architect.
- Perform the hardware integration of the product, describing technical choices and verifying by analysis (computations, models, simulation or mock-up) the compliance to input and output requirements.
- Define the general plans for mechanical integration together with Mechanical engineers
- Define the electrical schematics
- Define the Bill Of Materials (BOM)
- Ensure that the hardware design of our products can be manufactured, tested and repaired, together with industrialization teams.
- Prepare laboratory development systems and setups using our hardware products and equipment for verification testing.
- Put the hardware work product under configuration management according to product Configuration Management Plan.
- Support the hardware and software integration, together with the Hardware Architect and Software designer.
- Support the Hardware validation of the products including environmental qualification and type tests.

- Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Telecom, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Experience or understanding of CBTC systems and their applications
- Knowledge of Network & Telecom design, cybersecurity, and system architecture
- Familiarity with hardware integration, validation, and configuration management
- Fluent English communication skills
- Adaptability to work across various métiers and collaborate with diverse teams
- Work with new security standards for rail signalling
