Location: Huntsville, ALSUMMARY:
Noetic is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Clerk to join our finance team. The AP/AR Clerk is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring that all transactions are processed in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in AP/AR or general accounting.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (experience with Unanet preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process vendor invoices, match with purchase orders, and ensure proper approvals.
- Schedule and prepare payments via check, ACH, or wire transfers.
- Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries regarding payments or discrepancies.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist in month-end closing.
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve payment issues.
- Add new employees to accounting system.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time.
- Apply payments received to the correct accounts and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Perform credit checks and set up new customer accounts.
- Communicate with customers to resolve billing issues and collect overdue balances.
- Prepare aging reports and assist with cash forecasting.
- Experience working in a fast-paced business environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or financial databases.
- Knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures.
- Government experience is a plus.
