Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780-$1910
- Location: Roanoke, Virginia 24014 (Blue Ridge Mountains)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Healthcare Setting: PACU supporting main OR (inpatient, outpatient, endoscopy, ICU, vascular, OB, cardiac, interventional radiology)
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12 hours/week (18:45 - 07:15)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Start Date: October 6, 2025
- End Date: January 5, 2026
- Patient Ratios: 2:1
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Virginia or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU and ICU nursing experience
- Travel nurse experience required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (CCRN and NIHSS preferred)
- EPIC EMR charting experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I preferred
- Ability to work at least 1 holiday per assignment (2 holidays during winter)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Must reside more than 100 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
- Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care for adolescent, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Monitor and manage patients recovering from trauma, ICU, bariatric, breast, colorectal, dental, emergency general, ENT, gastroenterology, gynecology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, podiatry, pulmonology, and urology surgeries
- Utilize advanced clinical skills: airway assessment, arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, ventilator care, ABG interpretation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response
- Document patient care in EPIC EMR system
- Participate in call coverage as assigned
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
