PACU | RN

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780-$1910

• Location: Roanoke, Virginia 24014 (Blue Ridge Mountains)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Healthcare Setting: PACU supporting main OR (inpatient, outpatient, endoscopy, ICU, vascular, OB, cardiac, interventional radiology)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12 hours/week (18:45 - 07:15)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 5, 2026
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Orientation: 36 hours

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU and ICU nursing experience
• Travel nurse experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (CCRN and NIHSS preferred)
• EPIC EMR charting experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I preferred
• Ability to work at least 1 holiday per assignment (2 holidays during winter)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must reside more than 100 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care for adolescent, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from trauma, ICU, bariatric, breast, colorectal, dental, emergency general, ENT, gastroenterology, gynecology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, podiatry, pulmonology, and urology surgeries
• Utilize advanced clinical skills: airway assessment, arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, ventilator care, ABG interpretation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response
• Document patient care in EPIC EMR system
• Participate in call coverage as assigned
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
