
Assistant Director of Admissions Recruitment and Transfer / Adult Student Coordinator

- Responsible for recruiting and enrolling new transferring and adult undergraduate students in the Utah area and surrounding states.
- Assist in general oversight for community, university, and transfer relations/recruitment.
- Follow a territory management model with designated populations by generating and analyzing enrollment analytics of assigned territory.
- Coordinate transfer-specific recruitment activities (including virtual information sessions) at community colleges, both in-state and out-of-state, as well as on-campus and in the community. Ensure communications are directed at both traditional student populations and adult student populations, particularly within the local community.
- Explore articulation agreement opportunities with other universities to help establish pipelines for transfer and new adult student populations.
- Assist in yearly planning for transfer recruitment and events.
- Participate in national, regional and statewide organizations that coordinate and assist transfer and new adult students.
- Represent the University at college fairs, job fairs, student recruitment events, etc., including travel in short and over extended periods, in support of transfer student recruitment activities.
- Work directly with the Director of Admissions to support the overall vision of department
- Provide support to Director of Admissions in the development and implementation of Admission Counselor Training and support in territory management, high school student recruitment, and related communications.
- Assist with any new freshman recruitment activities as assigned by the Director of Admissions
- Work closely with Enrollment Marketing and Communication Manager to develop transfer and adult student communication and outreach plan.
- Work closely with Academic Advising to understand course articulations.
- Explore and identify new transfer and adult student recruitment opportunities.
- Assist transfer students throughout admissions process by leveraging comprehensive communication methods (text, phone, and email).
- Serve on various university committees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Three years of experience working within higher education required; experience in advisement or career guidance within higher education preferred.
- Knowledge of principles and practices in student academic guidance preferred.
- Familiarity with university admissions guidelines, standards, and procedures required; familiarity with higher education admissions advisement in general strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with various financial aid programs, including application deadlines and regulations.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise critical human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with students, employees and the public.
