About the RoleWe are seeking a Software Asset & Data Specialist to support our Enterprise Software Management (ESM) program. This role plays a critical part in digital transformation and technology cost optimization initiatives by developing and maintaining an enterprise-wide software inventory integrated with financial, contractual, and usage data.The position is ideal for a data-driven professional with expertise in software asset management, data modeling, and structured reporting. You will build scalable systems that enable decision-making across IT, Finance, Procurement, and Business Units.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of an enterprise-wide software inventory, ensuring data accuracy across financial, contractual, usage, and ownership domains.
  • Design and implement scalable processes for software asset data normalization, deduplication, and classification.
  • Integrate and reconcile data across platforms such as Zylo, OpenLM, SAP GL, Coupa, and contract management systems.
  • Maintain and enforce data governance policies to ensure ongoing data integrity and lifecycle traceability.
  • Partner with IT, Procurement, Finance, and Security to align on software assets and cost centers.
  • Deliver structured reporting and insights to support license optimization, vendor negotiations, compliance audits, and executive decision-making.
  • Act as subject matter expert on software asset data and lifecycle management, driving standardization and best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or Enterprise Technology Operations.
  • Proficiency with asset and cost management platforms (e.g., Zylo, Snow, Flexera, OpenLM, ServiceNow SAM).
  • Strong expertise in data modeling, system integration, and cross-platform reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and manage structured reporting, dashboards, and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data as business-relevant insights.

  • Achieving 100% accuracy across software, financial, and ownership data attributes within 6 months.
  • Complete contract metadata linkage for all high-impact software assets.
  • Real-time reporting for license compliance, renewals, and spend management.
  • Enterprise stakeholders actively using insights to drive budgeting, rationalization, and governance outcomes.
