For more information, please visit .ResponsibilitiesThe global communications team requires an engineer whose responsibility is evaluation, testing, delivery and support of cellular network services. This role will report within our network engineering team.This being a key role in selecting and delivering cellular networks, our cellular network integration engineer requires a broad skill set including:Cellular networking: Solid understanding of cellular networking concepts, including: 4G/ 5G access; eSIM, multi-IMSI and traditional SIM solutions; edge cellular routers such as Cradlepoint, Digi, Peplink, etc.Cellular Carriers: Knowledge and experience of AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile US networks.Intermediate networking knowledge: Fortinet Firewalls, Juniper & Cisco Routers, BGP routing and Linux networking.Security: Knowledge and experience with security policies, firewalls, encryption, and security information including SIM and device hardening.Router Management/Reporting Tools: Familiar with using device managers and SIM portals used for diagnostic trouble shooting issues, SLA reporting and data management.WiFi: Deploying and monitoring integrated router WIFI access points in retail environments.Continual learning: Pro-active online learning as networks provide updates, new services and features. Engage in active lottery projects to gain experience. Certification led training plans.Key tasks include:

Integrate routers with LTE, 5G and broadband technologies in retail environments
Updating router configurations and software
Creating and testing new router features and provider services
Adding new carrier/ device VPNs to existing infrastructure
Perform RCA on high severity outages and service degradation
Monitor WAN edge KPI’s and core WAN IP/ MPLS
Documentation and consumer points of contact
Supporting production and non-production environments
Running SLA reports with BSS/ OSS platforms
Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams for new site deployments, software upgrades, and technology rollouts.

Bachelor's degree in related field.
3-5 years of relevant professional experience required.
Equivalent combination of education and experience are considered in lieu of degree.
Hybrid work environment (50% in office) with Rhode Island based office.
Expertise with routers, switches, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VPNs, VLANs, encrypted tunnels, encryption technology, and wireless technology.
Experience with network automation (Ansible), scripting (Python, Bash)
Knowledge of OSS/BSS systems and performance management tools
Strong understanding of cellular technologies including LTE, and 5G NR
Strong understanding of cellular edge routers and management
Excellent troubleshooting skills to lead/ participate in major incident and problem management activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interface with team and the customer.
Deep technical knowledge working across multiple applications, operating systems and devices required.
Work closely with managers to determine the maintenance and growth needs of the infrastructure.
Monitor changing technology and deliver a technology update to management as required.
Participate in disaster recovery planning activities.
Determine the rationale and methods for upgrading the IT Infrastructure as required

These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
