- Provide a range of strategy and operations leadership for the Group Operating Committee and/or the Global Commercial Strategy organization
- Design, structure and lead critical and highly visible strategic projects across J&J Innovative Medicine
- Execute stakeholder engagement plans to drive alignment with senior leaders and develop pragmatic strategies and implementation plans
- Take full accountability for successful project delivery and demonstrated business impact
- Formulate points of view on a range of topics pertinent to Johnson & Johnson, through primary and secondary research and analysis
- Lead the process to identify, gather and prioritize key goals and objectives at different levels of the organization and establish key metrics to measure performance
- Support the Worldwide Chairman and/or Company Group Chairman, Global Commercial Strategy Organization, through content development and presentation writing, project management, and meeting organization
- Interface with leaders and governing bodies at the highest levels in J&J Innovative Medicine to challenge thinking and standard accepted practices and develop new, innovative approaches to solve priority issues
- Express clear points of view and conclusions to a wide range of internal and external audiences through speech presentations, white papers and slide presentations
- Work independently to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and be responsible for contributing to and independently developing business strategies
- Support new business development activities, including commercial due diligence and market / opportunity assessment & modeling
- Conduct evaluation of new markets and identify potential opportunities for new business development initiatives
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required
- 7 years of professional experience is required with 5 or more years of experience in a top tier /premium strategy management consulting organization is required
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design, structure, and lead projects
- Demonstrated success in managing high impact improvement projects and acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders
- Excellent communication skills: listening, writing, speaking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Demonstrated ability to develop deep insights, uncover unmet needs, drive innovation, inspire, develop, collaborate and lead within a global matrixed team
- An advanced degree is highly preferred
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical/biotech company or working on pharmaceutical strategy projects
- An understanding of major trends and dynamics in the pharmaceutical sector
- Demonstrated ability to work across functional and geographic boundaries
- A proven track record of success in ambiguous and complex environments
- The ability to partner and influence leaders at all levels globally and locally without authority
- This position is located in Raritan, NJ and may require up to 10% domestic travel and international travel, as needed
- Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
- Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
- Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
