- Prioritize operational goals and draw from the maintenance and engineering department any resources needed to ensure the integrity of the airline operation.
- Work closely with materials and supply to ensure the parts required are available.
- Ensure daily communications with Shop Leads and Staff
- Manage goals for in-shop repairs while ensuring rotatable support is in place for a timely and accurate return to service of components
- Manage the repair, overhaul, or modification of aircraft parts/components as necessary to include communications with the Vendor Performance team ensuring outsourced items are tracked and returned to service on time. Act as a vendor liaison to the supply department
- Manage maintenance personnel ensuring all work is performed in accordance with FAA & HA specifications. Responsible for coaching and guidance of Contract and Non-Contract Staff.
- Oversight of training requirements so personnel are properly trained, qualified, and authorized for their assigned duties and familiar with applicable manuals, tools, and procedures
- Assist in the creation of SOP’s and enforce them as necessary to ensure safe, repeatable, and consistent work habits within the department workforce
- Ensure tracking of Ultipro and oversight on vacation/work schedules is accomplished
- Ensure the workplace meets all safety and environmental compliance requirements
- Work with any other Shop, Office, or Department within the HAL Team to accomplish the mission
- Maintain TRAX compliance, and training compliance as well as administer the overtime program and reports
- Oversee assigned department budgets and monitor expenses. Responsible for monthly variance reports both financial as well as aircraft schedule deviations.
- Manage monthly overtime usage and reporting
- Other duties as assigned or directed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of management or leadership experience
- Airframe and Powerplant license
- Experience in overseeing budgets and vendor management
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must have a valid state driver’s license and be able to get a ramp license
- Must be able to travel and work flexible shifts
- B717, B787, A321, and A330 experience preferred.
- Experience in a FAR part 121 operation.
- Previous IAM management experience.
- College Degree
