Description of Work UnitThe CSU Office of Admissions processes application for incoming freshman, transfer, and graduate students, and other specific student populations. The processing unit consists of an assistant director, four full-time processors and these temporary application processors who are hired to assist from late-September through December of each year.

Position SummaryDescription: Temporary processors complete essential data verification and data entry steps as part of processing applications for admission. Typical activities include:
- Ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of student data with strict FERPA compliance
- Reviewing applications and academic records according to established guidelines
- Calculating grade point averages, determining residency and tracking performance indicators
- Verifying data in university systems and performing data maintenance tasks
- Scanning/downloading material into database
- Completing other special projects as assigned
- CSU employment is contingent upon a successful background check (after interview).

- High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred
- Demonstrated computer proficiency
- Experience with student information systems, database systems, data entry, data verification and/or compliance projects
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance volume, speed and quality
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to meet performance indicators
