The Manufacturing Operator/Industrial Sewer is responsible for processing work orders according to the production schedule, focusing on producing high-quality industrial textiles and thermal blankets. The role includes operating sewing machines, automated cutting machines, and other fabrication equipment to ensure consistent product quality and efficient output.Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Job Responsibilities:
- Exercising a strong “Duty of Care” in all activities.
- Adhering to daily, weekly, and monthly machinery service and maintenance requirements.
- Always Wearing and maintaining the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contributing to a zero-injury workplace through safe work practices.
- Showing respect to all team members and promoting a positive team culture.
- Meeting daily production targets efficiently and effectively.
- Communicating relevant information clearly to the North America Operations Manager.
- Maintaining clean and organized workspaces in accordance with 5S principles.
- Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Verification of Competency (VOC) requirements.
- Treating all property and facilities with care and respect.
- Operate industrial sewing machines for fabrication
- Use automated cutting machines to ensure precise material preparation.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in the production process.
- Experience operating sewing machines and automated cutting machines
- Good communication skills
- Basic trade knowledge or technical aptitude
- Ability to spend up to 3 months in Australia for onboarding and training
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- 1 YEAR of sewing experience
- $18–$19 per hour (based on experience)
- Bilingual Preferred
