Job Description:ECS is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to work in our Fort Meade, MD office. We are seeking an experienced Senior Red Hat System Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Linux infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.Job Summary:We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Red Hat System Administrator to lead the administration of our Linux environments, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining Red Hat-based systems, including RHEL, VMWare and OpenShift.
  • Providing expert-level support for Linux systems, including troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex issues.
  • Developing and implementing best practices for Linux system administration, security, and compliance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Linux systems with other IT systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities: * Linux System Administration:
  • Design, implement, and maintain Red Hat-based systems, including RHEL, VMWare, and OpenShift.
  • Configure and manage Linux systems, including networking, storage, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux system issues.
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Develop and implement best practices for Linux system security and DoD RMF compliance
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cyber systems engineers, SIEM/logging team, and IT operations.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Red Hat technologies and best practices.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000Requirements:
  • Expert-level knowledge of Red Hat technologies, including RHEL and OpenShift.
  • Strong understanding of Linux system administration, security, and compliance.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, such as Ansible, Docker, or Kubernetes.
