REPORTS TO: Tennis CoordinatorASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Tennis Instructor at the McFetridge Sports Center. The Tennis Instructor is responsible for assisting and/or running beginner, intermediate and advanced tennis lessons for kids and adults at the McFetridge Sports Center.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Include the following - other duties may be assigned:Instruct both group and private tennis lessons with knowledge of the basic tennis skills and terminology.Utilize available tennis equipment to maximize the development of basic tennis strokes in small and large group lessons.Notify Tennis Coordinator of any equipment repairs needed and maintenance of courts.Provide a safe and fun environment that promotes enjoying the sport for exercise and fun.SKILLS REQUIRED
Position requires ability to:Maintain an overall positive attitude with clients, patrons, staff members, and managementExcellent communication skillsPunctual and reliableDevelop and teach lesson plans in a team environmentRemain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur, including to help cover classes schedules as neededAbility to maintain program model that has been implementedEnsuring and following safety measures and regulationsPhysical ability to stand for long periods of time while on the courtWork evening, morning, and weekend shiftsQUALIFICATIONS
Applicant should have 2-3 years previous tennis instruction experience. The applicant must have the ability to teach fundamental tennis skills to children 4 to 18 years old and adults of various skill levels.PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPTR or USPTA level 1 certification or higher or be registered to take the level 1 certification exam.HOURLY RATE RANGE: $20.00-$25.00BENEFITSPaid Leave AccrualSick Time Accrual401(k) once eligibility is metTO APPLY:
