Job Description:Position SummaryManages and is responsible for all aspects of pharmaceutical care at Delray Medical Center and all contracted and outpatient pharmacy services. The director is the pharmacist of record with the Board of Pharmacy for the State of Florida. This includes, but is not limited to, all professional and technical aspects of departmental operations. These operations include clinical practice as well as medication use and delivery systems to ensure safe, progressive, state-of-the-art operations. In conjunction with the operations manager and clinical coordinator, the director is responsible for the management of the patient care unit based pharmacists. The director shall be skilled in developing standards of practice for screening of all age, dosage and disease dependent variations (i.e. geriatrics and pediatrics) and for operations of the Department of Pharmacy.Position QualificationsEDUCATION:Minimum: BS, PharmacyPreferred: Master's Degree in Pharmacy or related areasEXPERIENCE:Five (5) years experience in responsible growth orientated management position in health care facility.REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:Florida Pharmacist License, Florida Consultant Pharmacist LicenseOTHER QUALIFICATIONS:Supervisory experience required#LI-TK1Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.Responsibilities:Provides direction of the department through the development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of the hospitals pharmacy practice to align with best practices within the profession. Ensures legal and regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accrediting bodies. Recruits, hires, develops, and retains competent pharmacy staff. Develops, implements, and monitors processes and systems to detect and prevent drug diversion. Plans, organizes, and directs the work of the pharmacy staff. Creates the annual budget and submits capital expenditures requests per policy. Reviews and revises Policy and Procedures annually or as required by hospital bylaws.Qualifications: Education:Required: Pharm.
