  • Analyze Allison software development processes and tools to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with peers and product owners to develop and document roadmaps for systems that enable software development
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for software and development tools
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders as necessary to define and implement new/improved processes and systems
  • Validate system changes to ensure they meet the needs of the organization
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in relevant tools and processes
  • Envision, design, implement, deploy, and maintain systems using a variety of supported languages and tools

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, engineering technology or demonstrated equivalent experience in prior roles
Experience:
  • Ability to organize tasks, documentation, and project deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Proficient with MS Office 365 – PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Teams, SharePoint, and Visio
  • Experience working effectively in cross-discipline teams
  • Experience extracting & documenting stakeholder requirements via live interviews and conversational e-mails
At least 3 of the following technical experiences:
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining a web-based application including a database in an enterprise environment
  • Developing, packaging, deploying, and maintaining a Windows client application in an enterprise environment using .NET Framework
  • Implementing and maintaining a source code control system (e.g. GitHub) for multiple, concurrent developers
  • Designing, implementing, and testing embedded automotive software
Scope:
  • Individual contributor with no direct reports
  • Limited vendor management responsibility
  • Broad exposure and partnerships with various levels within the organization
