SummaryThis internship provides hands-on experience with bench-level testing and analysis of advanced power converter products (APT and ET) and RF power amplifiers used in cellular front-end applications. The intern will gain practical skills operating industry-standard lab equipment-including bench supplies, arbitrary waveform generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes-to measure and evaluate device performance. They will also be responsible for compiling results into clear, data-driven presentations and sharing findings with engineering teams.In addition to lab testing, the intern will have opportunities to explore circuit design and development, assist with failure analysis investigations, and support both characterization and production test teams, offering a well-rounded experience in RF hardware development.Responsibilities may include:
  • Optimize RF front-end products (PA/PMIC) on evaluation boards to meet performance targets.
  • Conduct experiments and investigations to resolve test challenges or validate product specifications.
  • Set up, validate, and correlate lab bench configurations for consistent measurement accuracy.
  • Perform lab measurements, including both automated and manual testing procedures.
  • Analyze collected data, generate technical reports, and present findings with clarity.
  • Participate in peer reviews of data and results with other engineers.
  • Provide weekly summaries outlining progress, learnings, and open issues.
Qualifications
  • BS, MS, or PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Completed coursework in electrical engineering, with a solid understanding of analog circuits.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
  • Self-motivated, independent worker, and quick learner.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $31.00/hr - $42.00/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.
