Responsibilities include: prescription filling, patient counseling, drug information, inventory control, narcotic distribution and record keeping, third party billing, personnel management, assist in the selection of new employees, training of employees, work scheduling and employee scheduling. Manages the development and implementation of; new policies, procedures and new services. In conjunction with Froedtert Health's mission focusing on customer service, confidentiality, education, and world class excellence; the pharmacist assures that patient care is maintained through compliance with the department's quality improvement plan and The Joint Commission/Center for Medicare/Medicaid standards for pharmaceutical services. Other duties as assigned. Reports to the Director of Ambulatory/Retail Services at Froedtert Health. Other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:Minimum of three years experience as a Pharmacist or PGY1 residency is required. Management experience is preferred.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy is required.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:Demonstrates excellent problem solving ability. Demonstrates an ability to positively influence staff. Demonstrates fundamental skills in such areas as: patient education, mediation counseling, appropriate drug utilization, inventory control, pharmacy law, third party billing and computer systems. Demonstrates knowledge of computer systems used in the outpatient pharmacy. Demonstrates an understanding of legal and ethical issues relevant to pharmacy. Demonstrates ability to understand and manage inventories. Demonstrates ability to prepare staff schedules based on workload and productivity requirements.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:Licensed or eligible for licensure in Wisconsin. Active membership in the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) is preferred.
