- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensure: State pharmacy technician license/registration
- Experience: 2 or more years pharmacy technician experience with preferred experience in medication auditing, investigations or related experience. Preferred experience in drug diversion prevention processes.
- Certifications: He or she must be registered in good standing with the board of pharmacy as a pharmacy technician in the states in which they serve as a diversion specialist. National pharmacy technician certification is required within 1 year.
