This is an R&D-driven environment where problems are open-ended and solutions are yours to define. You'll work alongside welders, robotics engineers, data scientists, and systems engineers at the intersection of hardware and software, creating an end-to-end additive manufacturing platform that serves a wide variety of applications. From exploring new materials to unlocking faster print speeds, to designing complex, organic geometries that can't be built any other way, it's high-impact work that sets the foundation for the future of additive manufacturing.About the Role:
  • Collaborate closely with technology and operations teams to define requirements for industrial automation systems and translate them into functional designs
  • Responsible engineer for the design and development of mechanical systems from conception to production. Create models, drawings and specifications
  • Work with cross functional stakeholders to derive requirements, set goals and ensure effective communication
  • Ensure designs meet requirements for tolerances, functionality and safety
  • Utilize rapid prototyping to iterate and refine designs quickly
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience designing industrial automation equipment, mechanical structures, or mechanisms
  • Proficiency in CAD, including GD&T application, tolerance analysis and drawing documentation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment
Nice to haves but not required:
  • Proficiency in NX CAD software and experience with PLM systems
  • Experience with robotics and electrical system design
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping methods and technologies
  • Hands-on experience performing structural FEA analysis using ANSYS, ABAQUS, or similar tools
