Physical Therapist Job Details
  • Location: Hyannis, MA 02601 (Cape Cod – Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
  • Setting: Hospital Rehabilitation Center
  • Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel/Contract Physical Therapist)
  • Start Date: November 3, 2025
  • End Date: January 31, 2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Shift Options: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (8:30am–4:30pm) or four 10-hour shifts (7:30am–5:30pm)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2030–$2190
Physical Therapist Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active Physical Therapist license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Specialist Certification documentation required for PT Clinical Specialist roles
Physical Therapist Responsibilities
  • Organize and implement medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for adult and pediatric patients
  • Evaluate new patients, set measurable goals, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Administer diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests
  • Apply and modify treatment modalities based on patient progress
  • Document patient care, education, and interdisciplinary communication
  • Collaborate with medical and allied health professionals regarding patient progress and discharge planning
  • Educate patients and families in therapeutic procedures and home exercise programs
  • Train and mentor new staff, PT Assistants, Aides, and students
  • Maintain departmental policies, quality assessment, and safety standards
  • Participate in meetings and ongoing professional development
  • Maintain accurate daily records of patient activity and billing charges
  • Consistently deliver compassionate, accountable, and excellent patient care
  • For PT Clinical Specialists: serve as a clinical resource and assist management in specialty area planning and supervision
