Exciting Controls Systems Engineer!!!Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Operational Technology Engineer to provide technical support for existing OT and control systems in manufacturing processes. This role involves supporting HMI/SCADA systems, collaborating with various teams for system integration, and ensuring seamless operation of manufacturing operations. The position will require travel to internal sites such as Boston, Milwaukee, and Buffalo for several weeks at a time.Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for existing OT and control systems across manufacturing processes.
  • Support and monitor HMI/SCADA systems to ensure optimal manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, IT, and production staff, for seamless system integration and operation.
  • Work with external systems integrators during MES installation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OT/Control Systems, SCADA, and MES to minimize downtime.
  • Integrate process equipment with MES and SCADA platforms as needed, ensuring data accuracy and real-time communication.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance for optimal performance and security.
  • Ensure cybersecurity and network segmentation of control systems in collaboration with Corporate IT.
  • Participate in commissioning, validation, and upgrade projects for new equipment or control systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of experience with control systems and/or MES.
  • Familiarity with PLC code, particularly Rockwell and Siemens.
  • Proficient in MES, SCADA, and PLC programming.
  • Strong project management and project engineering skills.
  • Experience with smart manufacturing, digital transformation, IoT, and IIoT.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience with control systems and/or MES is desirable.
Work EnvironmentThis is a 12 month contract position with a standard Monday-Friday, 8-5 schedule, totaling 40 hours a week with no overtime required. The role includes occasional travel to other internal sites such as Boston, Milwaukee, and Buffalo for a few weeks at a time. All travel expenses and per diem are covered.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
