How you'll spend your time as a Shop Technician:
  • Learning different types of stone. I.E. granite, sandstone and marble.
  • Learning to measure stone correctly.
  • Picking stencil for monument preparation and looking for discrepancies.
  • Preparing stone for sandblasting – Attaching stencil, patching stencil, pulling panels, etc.
  • Washing monuments after engraving is complete.
  • Earning forklift certification to move stones safely.
  • Assisting with strapping loads and supplies down in truck for installs.
  • Assisting with checking shipments and deliveries.
  • Traveling to cemeteries and job sites to assist with installation.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Skills & experience we'd like you to have as a Shop Technician:
  • Experience working with Granite or other kinds of stone, including Quarry, Countertop, or Monument preparation.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Basic comprehension of English oral and written language.
  • Ability to read and measure blueprints and designs.
  • Ability to lift up 50-70 lbs.
  • Basic knowledge of shop work
