- Develops and executes group fitness activities (to include group walks, berry picking, hikes, group fitness classes or similar) for village residents. Coordinates with Wellness Center staff to utilize online and virtual tools to enhance programming and allow remote/distance delivery to increase access and participant engagement as needed, including facilitating virtual personal training sessions as needed.
- Applies evidence-based approaches to improving mobility, flexibility, strength, stability, agility, and power as appropriate for each participant.
- Maintains record of weekly participant attendance, and modifies classes and activities as needed for varying ability levels.
- Provides feedback to the Wellness Center Manager on relevant programming and supports for their village.
- Travels as needed to Kodiak for Wellness Center trainings.
- Collaborates with KANA Communications to advertise classes to improve class attendance.
- Maintains group fitness instructor certification by complying with continuing education and training requirements.
