Geotechnical Staff - Project EngineerRequisition Number: 2024-1619-08If you are a recent graduate and eager to begin your career in geotechnical engineering or you have 2-4 years of geotechnical experience and looking to expand your knowledge and skillset, join us at S&ME! We are looking for either a Staff Engineer or Project Engineer based on experience to join our geotechnical team in Augusta, Georgia.Your Day-to-Day:
  • Field Exploration Coordination: Coordinate, perform, plan and oversee geotechnical field explorations and testing ensuring comprehensive data collection.
  • Technical Analysis: Evaluate complex geotechnical data, applying principles for engineering decisions and design support.
  • Proposal and Report Preparation: Assist in proposal and report preparation with the review of senior leadership.
  • Safety and Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with safety and internal policies for a safe work environment.
  • Client Interaction and Training: Communicate with clients and train junior staff for project success.
Your Impact:Your role as a Geotechnical Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the success and progression of our projects.   • A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Geological, or Mining Engineering, or Geology or closely related field
  • 0-4 years of related work experience
  • A Professional Engineer license in Georgia or ability to obtain, a plus
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to learn commercial software applications
