Outside Plant (OSP) Inspector

- Observe Contractor construction activities and inspect the workmanship of construction as it pertains to compliance of the Plans & Specifications.
- Interpret Contract documents for the Contractor as necessary to assist with compliance with the terms of the construction contract, including Plans & Specifications. Coordinate and document with the OSP Resident Engineer any communications with the Contractor that may be interpreted as a change in the terms of the contract or other changes that may affect the construction cost or performance.
- Correct the construction drawings where Inspection has been observed and record the ‘as-built’ inventory units and routing; keep corrections of these documents current.
- Observe the manner and incorporation of materials, equipment, and workmanship by the Contractor as measured in accordance with Contract Plans & Specifications.
- Maintain required CHR Solutions issued project inspection forms and provide the results to the Resident Project Manager.
- Participate in acceptance testing as directed by the Resident Engineer.
- Maintain compliance with current state and federal safety guidelines as it applies to CHR Solutions staff.
- Ability to travel 100% by car and/or plane may include weekend travel. Current valid driver’s license required.
- Develop and maintain technical competencies as defined by departmental management.
- Professionally represent CHR Solutions and client.
- Identify, meet and/or exceed client expectations within defined parameters related to delivery of services, quality, revenue, and sales goals.
- It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management, and based on the needs of the business.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Able to travel 100% with own vehicle.
- Able to work outside, walk several miles daily, and work in variable weather conditions.
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Able to follow process specifications and guidelines.
- Basic proficiencies with computer / tablet.
- Ability to effectively utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Demonstrate high work standards and provide high quality of work.
