The role focuses on ensuring efficient operations, maximizing equipment life expectancy, and maintaining energy-efficient, safe building environments while minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and repairs.Your day-to-day tasks will include:
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and building systems
  • Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, and plumbing systems
  • Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting conditions that impact client occupancy and operations
  • Handle interior and exterior building repairs including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting
  • Respond effectively to all emergency situations and after-hours building activities as required
  • Prepare and submit summary reports to management with recommended actions based on findings
  • Study and operate building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and other building-related equipment
  • Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and State, County, or City codes and regulations
  • Attend periodic training seminars and complete other assigned operational tasks
Desired experience and technical skills:Requirements:
  • Universal EPA 608 Certification • Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering with strong background in packaged HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment repair and maintenance
  • Valid state driver's license • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. ladders
  • Ability to perform on-call duties and overtime as required
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application
  • Experience managing work orders and utilizing CMMS technology
  • Experience working in a service-related role specific to commercial facilities
