- Completion of TECE I & II, and or CDA. Must have Certification from Delaware First as a Teacher or higher.
- Associate or Bachelor Degree
- Early Childhood Education Experience in a classroom or daycare setting of 2 or more years.
- High School or equivalent
- (Preferably) Associates degree or higher in Early Childhood Education/Child Development.
- Courses in Curriculum Planning, and Classroom Management
- Lead Early Childhood Toddler Teacher will perform direct daily care to children including but not limited to personal care routines and the implementation of curriculum.
- Exhibits stable and responsible work habits.
- Regularly reflection and self-examination
- Serves as a model for children through their own conduct.
- Displays imagination and creativity.
- Communicates effectively with each child, both verbally and non-verbally
- Shows respect for the diversity of families, children and co-workers.
- Communicates effectively with parents and prospective parents.

- Speaks to children with respect and provides a warm friendly learning environment.
- Incorporate Language and Literature into curriculum through the day.
- Have experience with classroom management.
- Provide basic needs for children.
- Provide a pleasant, safe, and sanitary environment.
- Developing age-appropriate socialization skills in children.
- Establish and enforce rules that promote positive behavior, and good manners.
- Identifying behavioral problems and developing appropriate strategies to address them.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Provide various tools, and resources for children to use and explore that will stimulate growth and development.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to enhance and compliment the children learning styles.
- Attending staff meetings, conferences, and workshops.
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences.
- Ability to address all concerns with parents effectively.
- Develop age-appropriate planning guides and activities.
- Provide daily communication and updates to parents on children’s progress.
- Complete evaluations of students through assessment and observations tool.
