Will perform other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsREQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least five years of supervisory experience in a repair and maintenance setting with oversight of a staff of instrument technicians working with complex building operations and automation systems; familiarity with Schneider Electric, Siemens, Automated Logic or Carrier and environmental rooms such as Harris Environmental; demonstrated job planning and execution proficiency; experience working with work order tracking systems and computer software, specifically MS Office; and excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communications skills. Must be able to ability to proactively improve processes; direct the inspection and calibration of DDC systems and devices to detect abnormal function and follow through with recommended repairs; prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports; read ladder diagrams, blueprints, and schematics; and manage work order backlogs and prioritize work. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; knowledge of labor relations and conflict resolution; and Massachusetts’ refrigeration technician license, Massachusetts’ oil burner technician license, and/or universal refrigerant recovery certificate.
