Location: Monroeville, PennsylvaniaJob Title: Technical Project ManagerStatus: Full-time ProfessionalAnnual Salary Range: $97,700 - $162,690*Salary commensurate with education and experience.Job SummaryAs a Technical Project Manager at BPMI, you will support higher level multi-project programs to meet overall program objectives and deliverables. Responsibilities include ensuring components are delivered to support shipbuilding needs, leveraging and further developing leadership, critical thinking, and strategic planning skills. This includes providing oversight of the sole-source supplier for production progress, schedules, risk mitigation, estimates, and long-range planning forecasts and procurement strategies. This individual will work collaboratively with the BPMI lead for the supplier, component cognizant engineers, and procurement professionals.Essential Duties:
Project Planning and Execution
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders including the assessment of component production progress and communication of status with stakeholders (i.e., prime contractors, shipyards, vendors, etc.) and customers.
Lead BPMI responsibility for aspects related to product completion at the supplier and delivery, including production follow, coordinating and prioritizing cognizant engineers' work, and identifying risks and mitigation plans.
Develop project plans including timelines, milestones, resources, and budgets.
Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to execute projects effectively. Develop and execute change management and prioritize tasks and manage schedules.
Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate and support component shipments.
Team Leadership
Organize and lead cross-functional project teams and integrate the work of project team members.
Assign tasks to team members and provide guidance on execution. Establish project priorities to meet project deliverables.
Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and address issues.
Motivate team members and foster a positive work environment while managing disputes and fostering collaboration and respect among team members.
Stakeholder Management
Manage relationships with internal and external customers and all stakeholders.
Communicate project status, issues and updates to all relevant parties.
Develop roles and responsibilities for all project stakeholders and take action to ensure roles and responsibilities are being met.
Risk and Issue Management
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies and prepare contingency plans.
Facilitate investigations to establish root cause of problems / issues by reviewing and analyzing procedures, processes and technical designs.
Monitor and manage changes to project scope, schedule and costs.
Proactively address issues and obstacles to keep projects on track. Identify problems, think critically, and devise effective solutions. Make informed decisions to impact the project's direction and success.
Reporting and Documentation
Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including closeout documentation and status reports.
Review and concur with project contracts and contract changes. Ensure contract obligations are met.
Quality Assurance
Establish and monitor quality standards for project deliverables and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
Review project performance metrics and take appropriate actions with stakeholders and functional line management to correct deviations from plan.
Travel to supplier for production surveillance.
Resource Management
Evaluate requests for scope, budget, or schedule changes, in conjunction with Engineering and Procurement.
Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of both financial and team resources.

Minimum Job Requirements:
BS degree in Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience. An advanced degree or Project Management certification may be considered in lieu of one year of experience.
Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.

Experience with budgeting and budget projections.
