The successful candidate will have the responsibilities listed below.- Review Customer Requirements Documents to generate a Customer Proposal
- Create Thin Film Coatings from legacy customer designs
- Collaborate with Program Management to create a Project Plan with Budget and Timeline Justification
- Create New Thin Film Coating Designs for Novel Customer Applications
- Provide Customer Program work instructions to early career Engineers and Technicians
- Order, Analyze, and interpret In-Process Metrology Data to determine Process Adjustments
- Meet with Customers for Collaborative discussions and Design Proposal Presentations
- Compare Metrology Data to Customer Specifications to evaluate Fitness for Use
- Promote the culture of working in a collaborative Team Environment
- Participate in Team Discussions and Engagements
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.Basic QualificationsTo be considered for this opportunity, the applicant must demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following areas.- Experienced in Thin Film coating Designs and Materials
- Extensive Experience with Sputtered Thin Films Design, Processes, and Equipment
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Familiar with Thin Film Design and Reverse Engineering using TFCalc or similar tool
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
- Statistical Methods and Design of ExperimentsDesired skillsThe skills listed below are strongly desired and will assist the successful candidate in achieving the requirements of the Job Description- Ability to Create and Present Technical Content for Customer Meetings
- Comfortable taking Calculated Risks and learning from failures with a Growth Mindset
- Planning and Leading Projects to meet established requirements
- Programming experience and Visual Basic Macro Scripting or similar analysis software
- Experience with Optical Spectrometer, SEM, XRF measurements and interpreting the results
