- Performing or assisting with network implementation activities and tasks (e.g. routing protocols, switching technologies, firewall and ACL management, site to site VPN, network documentation).
- Provide specific detailed information for implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
- Optimize and integrate new technologies and features into existing infrastructure, provide analysis of cyber security features and relate existing system to future needs and trends, and resolve integration and testing issues.
- Providing input to, and interfacing in end user meetings, or providing status input to higher level management. May interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies
- The ideal candidate will have direct work experience in the activities listed above. They should also have a broad knowledge of IT systems, TCP/IP, networking best practice and analysis
- US Citizenship
- Active Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
- Ability to obtain a valid U.S. passport.
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of related experience
- Bachelors in Science and 2 Years of related experience
- Meet DoD 8570 Certifications Requirements (e.g. Security+ Certification, and/or CISSP) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of network protocols
- Demonstrated knowledge of LAN/WAN configuration and security strategies
- Familiarity with networking tools and software.
- Demonstrated success working individually or as part of a team requiring little supervision
- Excellent verbal communication skills and succinct writing style
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching.
- Ability to travel up to 25% CONUS and OCONUS.
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or more advanced certifications
- Familiarity with configuring Cisco Routers, Switches and Firewalls
- Familiarity with Panorama and Palo Alto Firewalls.
- Familiarity with Computer Network Defense (CND), Computer Network Attack (CNA) and/or Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) activities.
- Familiarity with Cisco Collaboration applications.
- Familiarity with network automation.
