- Controlling and monitoring the process of producing liquid CO2 for shipment to our customers.
- Providing hands on support or assisting in plant equipment mechanical repairs, instrument calibrations and electrical troubleshooting as required.
- Investigating equipment failures, determining root causes of failures, and recommending appropriate solutions to reduce reoccurrence of/or eliminating causes of failures.
- Working with the source supplier to assure plant on-stream and reliability.
- A strong commitment to safety, working as a team, and operational excellence.
- Utilizing written procedures for starting and stopping equipment.
- Isolating systems for maintenance using work permits and lock out tag out process.
- Operating systems from remote location via Distributed Control System.
- Standing rotating watches outside normal working hours.
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Active participation in the Basic Safety Process as a key member of the Site Safety Committee.
- Work with compressors, pumps and other pieces of rotating equipment.
- Assist in plant equipment mechanical repairs, instrument calibrations and electrical troubleshooting.
- Taking and recording boiler chemistry water samples.
- Preforming equipment inspections.
- Prepare and submit documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, internal/external audits, management of change documents.
- Follow Lockout / Tag Out Procedures.
- Issue Safe Work Permits for all jobs being completed in the plant.
- Professional skills improvement & development in process and safety management.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Two years’ experience of operations in an industrial plant is preferred.
- Associate degree in a technical field a plus but not required.
- Military experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude required.
- Must be willing to take 24-hour on-call responsibilities every other week as well as working 1-2 hours every other weekend day (1 weekend day).
- Must be a self-starter and willing to work alone.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Team player that is flexible and has a positive attitude.
- Must have good written and oral communications skills.
- Must be able to climb ladders and steps and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Will be exposed to a high noise environment.
- Elevated work required.
