As General Manager, you’ll provide strategic direction and operational support to ensure our warehouse meets and exceeds performance goals. This role carries broad responsibilities, from driving efficiency and safety to building strong teams and fostering customer relationships. You’ll be at the center of operations-leading with vision while delivering results.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, recruit, train, and develop your team, providing feedback and coaching to maximize productivity and effectiveness.
  • Deliver on company performance goals and KPIs, including Labor to Revenue (LTR), truck turn times, and customer service standards.
  • Review operations and costs to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Partner with the Sales Manager on new business strategies, prospecting, sales calls, pricing, contract negotiations, and account growth.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through strong client relationships and a service-first culture.
  • Oversee budgets, capital expenditures, material handling equipment, and space utilization to align with corporate goals.
  • Champion safety, food quality, and compliance by supporting initiatives that ensure proper receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of food products.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of Operations Management experience in Supply Chain or a related field
  • Proven ability to design and execute strategies, budgets, and operational plans with measurable results
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, LEAN)
  • Strong people leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with comfort navigating ambiguity
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
Work Environment
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from -20°F/-25°C (cold storage) to 100°F/37°C (dry storage), with company-provided PPE and freezer gear
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. (18 kg) as needed
  • Comfort working in variable noise levels
