Our client is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer - Non-Safety Instrumentation & Controls to oversee the design, development, and integration of non-safety I&C systems for advanced nuclear and energy storage technologies. This role includes technical oversight, supplier coordination, schedule planning, and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external teams.Location: RemoteLength of Assignment: 12 monthsBenefits: Three insurance levels, 401K + match, sick leave, and the opportunity to lead non-safety I&C design for next-generation reactor technology.US citizens and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply. Work sponsorship is not available at this time.Responsibilities:Lead and support non-safety I&C design from requirements to final documentation.Coordinate with international and multidisciplinary teams across engineering, licensing, and procurement.Oversee I&C Lead Designers and support integration with electrical and control systems.Support development of I&C scope in Primavera P6 and assist with budget/schedule planning.Guide implementation of integrated control systems including Curtiss Wright RTIME and RTP controllers.Review and develop P&IDs, architecture drawings, logic diagrams, and instrumentation packages.Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.Support supplier oversight and review of deliverables.Integrate I&C with workstreams in licensing, safety analysis, and systems engineering.Key Qualifications and Skills:B.S. or higher in Controls, Electrical, or related field.15+ years of experience in I&C system design, testing, or commissioning.Experience with distributed control systems, Curtiss Wright RTIME, and RTP platforms.Familiar with IEEE/IEC standards, control narratives, and logic diagrams.Skilled in design reviews, supplier management, and interdisciplinary coordination.Strong technical writing and communication skills.Preferred: Experience with high-temperature systems, nuclear QA standards (e.g., NQA-1), or safety-related I&C.Self-starter with the ability to lead technical teams in a dynamic environment.Estimated Compensation Range: $77.00-$130.00 per hour.
