This position encompasses both routine and non-routine preventive maintenance duties, focusing on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and machine servicing repairs. Essential responsibilities include modeling exceptional customer service standards while assisting team members, adhering to safety protocols in equipment repairs, and maintaining meticulous inventory reports of equipment and parts. The technician will diagnose and troubleshoot issues according to industry codes, prioritize work orders based on business needs, and ensure the workspace remains clean and organized.By effectively managing equipment inventories and anticipating supply needs, you will contribute to minimizing downtime and fostering an efficient work environment that aligns with Lunds & Byerlys' commitment to excellence and teamwork.What we're looking for in a Maintenance Technician Level ATo thrive as a Full-Time Maintenance Technician Level A at Lunds & Byerlys, candidates must possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, complemented by the ability to read and interpret schematics and equipment manuals. A service-oriented mindset, effective communication, and strong customer service abilities are necessary to foster teamwork and trust. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate adaptability to changing priorities, possess time management and organizational skills, and have computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.Welding skills and the ability to work independently are also highly valued.MINIMUM Qualifications * Education
  • Required: Completion of two-year technical degree or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • Licensing Required:
  • Certification in one or more maintenance related trade (including refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, millwright, plumbing, machining, etc.)
  • Forklift/scissor lift certification (ability to obtain and maintain)
  • Boiler's license (ability to obtain and maintain Special Engineering license at a minimum)
  • Lock out/tag out (LOTO) (ability to obtain and maintain)
  • Experience:
  • Five or more years' experience in commercial or industrial equipment and building repairs with a solid understanding of building controls
  • Experience with CMMS and PM systems desired
  • HVAC and refrigeration system experience
