This pivotal role is designed for an individual who excels in creating memorable events, from initial client consultations to the flawless execution of banquet functions. With a focus on maximizing revenue and ensuring the optimal use of meeting spaces, the Banquet Sales & Event Planner will play a crucial role in maintaining our club's reputation for hosting premier events.Key Responsibilities for the Banquet Sales & Event Planner:
  • Event Coordination Excellence: Event Planner skillfully prepares and distributes Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in a timely manner, ensuring all event details align with client expectations and club standards.
  • Administrative Precision: Accurately manage all event-related documentation, including proposals, contracts, and change forms, adhering to our stringent policies and procedures.
  • Revenue Maximization: The event Planner works in close collaboration with the banquet sales team to execute events that not only delight guests but also contribute to achieving or surpassing budgeted revenue targets for the banquet department.
  • Client Engagement: Event Planner proactively engages with clients, scheduling tours, discussing event specifics, and securing bookings, all while upholding the highest standards of customer service.
  • Reporting and Analysis: We utilize banquet management systems and Excel to generate detailed reports, track event revenue, and provide insights for future planning.
  • Professional Development: Participate company meetings, contributing valuable feedback and fostering continuous improvement within the banquet department.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in catering management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and close sales effectively.
  • A flexible schedule that accommodates nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a Sales Coordinator or Banquet Coordinator role, preferably within a luxury or full-service hotel/banquet facility.
