ELECTRICAL ESTIMATORSUMMARY OF THE POSITION: Seeking a self-motivated Electrical Estimator to perform estimates on both commercial and multifamily projects. Proficient in blueprint reading & analyzing specifications to select the proper means, methods and materials to utilize in the takeoff. Good organization skills and attention to detail are required for this full-time position at our Orlando Office.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review project drawings, specifications, RFI’s and other bid documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for both commercial and residential projects.
  • Analyze project scope and associated risk factors as well as identify cost savings options or value engineering ideas to the client.
  • Manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Provide collaboration with production department for new job startup and turnover from pre-construction department.
  • Arrange for/attend site visits and prepare detailed report of findings to be utilized in estimate.
  • Prepare & Send out RFQ for (materials, vendors & subcontractors)
  • Review client's responses, terms & conditions and suppliers/ subcontractors offers then prepare the qualifications/ exceptions/ deviations and other issues which could affect the prices or project duration.
  • Prepare the cost estimation, such as man-hour estimates, materials, construction equipment via Accubid Estimating Software.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or Technical Degree
  • 3 to 5 years of experience of cost estimating in electrical projects.
  • Good PC knowledge and skills including Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam.
  • Experience in the use of spreadsheets, estimating pricing software and cost management tools.
  • Knowledge and understanding of a variety of mechanical construction processes and components and ability to evaluate and analyze associated costs.
