- Aggressively pursues building automation controls sales using all of one's initiative, persistence, ingenuity, creativity, people, business and technical skills
- Gains and maintains strong customer relationships by demonstrating and constantly improving technical skills and knowledge.
- Develops multiple relationships with key players in a customer's organization, including senior and junior project engineers, project managers, management, executive, construction, financial, and purchasing personnel.
- Knowledge of influencing the design and specification of Open Protocol Building Automation Systems is a plus
- Responds to customer needs promptly by identifying applicable systems and products, generating quotes and closing orders.
- Conducts and attends customer visits and customer events to build relationships with key personnel.
- Conducts formal presentations and training sessions with individual customers or customer groups.
- Maintains accurate customer data and activity tracking in Company CRM Program.
- Actively participates in community professional organizations to improve professional skills and build long-term relationships. i.e (ASHRAE, TEMA, etc...)
- Manages plan and specification takeoffs, selection, pricing, bidding, negotiating, and closing business.
- Observes Company ethical and professional conduct of business policies.
- Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required to achieve sales and income goals and quotas.
- Understanding of HVAC Building Automation Systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of Distech Controls product line a plus.
- 3-year's experience in Building Automation Construction Sales.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
