The Python Developer will contribute to the development of scalable, high-performance Python solutions that support data automation, reporting, and configuration processes. This role serves as a technical mentor and guide, ensuring code quality, optimizing performance, and driving innovation in automation and data engineering practices. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Python development, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with analysts and cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges. Responsibilities also include maintaining robust documentation and elevating the team’s technical capabilities. This is a Temporary WFH position.Pay Range$36.15 - $47.00 (depending on experience).

Primary Functions:
  • Design, develop, and deploy large-scale Python projects focused on data automation and reporting.
  • Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, error handling, and performance optimization.
  • Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation for scripts, processes, and systems.
  • Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance in Python, SQL, and automation best practices.
  • Collaborate with analysts to identify scalable solutions to complex configuration and data challenges.
  • Monitor and resolve bugs, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to existing scripts and systems.
  • Contribute to the development of dashboards, automated reports, and data validation tools.
  • Promote best practices in data integrity, version control, and process automation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Python development, with a strong portfolio of automation and data engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Excel automation, including macros and advanced functions.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers or analysts in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, integrity, and business impacts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience with healthcare data, provider configuration, or claims systems (e.g., Facets) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with remote and cross-functional teams.
Working Conditions & Contact with Others:Office environment with extensive close PC and keyboard use, constant sitting, and frequent phone communication. Must be able to navigate multiple computer screens. A reliable, high-speed, hard-wired internet connection required to support remote or hybrid work. Must be comfortable being on camera for virtual training and meetings. Work in excess of standard workweek, including evenings and occasional weekends, to meet business need.Internally with Medical Professional Relations, Provider Contracting, IT, Claims and Customer Service.
