Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer with a passion for design and innovation. The role involves drawing and designing parts to be fabricated or quoted in Inventor, conducting engineering research on parts, and interacting with customers. You will have the opportunity to see the immediate impact of your work, as projects can turn over very quickly, sometimes within a day. This role requires approximately 20-25% travel around the U.S. to customer sites, which may occur outside the typical Monday to Friday schedule.Responsibilities
- Design and draft mechanical parts using Inventor and other CAD software.
- Conduct engineering research and analysis on parts.
- Interact with customers and perform fieldwork, requiring 20-25% travel.
- Quickly turn around projects to meet client needs.
- Take initiative and be proactive in learning about products.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and design, preferably with Inventor; Solidworks is also beneficial.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, whether professional or personal (e.g., experience with cars, carpentry, machining).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Personable demeanor with high energy.
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment and parts design.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the company.
