Essential Role and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the client development efforts nationally or region.
- Provides client development leadership within a large region. This would include tracking and reporting of key marketing information, facilitating strategy meetings, motivating and training others in the art of client development and major project pursuit, managing key client relationships and professional organization membership and networking.
- Works with local and regional operations to build Power Generation and Transmission client base.
- Collaborates with management to develop client development plans, budgets and performance goals for their staff and themselves.
- Tracks and monitors account performance, including gross revenue, WU/WD, and target multiplier.
- Regularly engages with Service Line Directors and Assistant Service Line Directors to both promote new strategic services and for service line expansion within specific accounts.
- Responds to client issues as the primary point of contact for issue resolution and engages Operations, Service Lines, Legal, and Executive Management as appropriate.
- Works with Operations to respond to client needs despite the potential for local resource gaps or constraints. This may include leading collaborative efforts across multiple offices, regions, or division.
- Assists in building teaming relationships to serve client needs for services where Terracon may lack local experience.
- Acts as the primary point of contact in the negotiation of Master Service Agreements or other client provided form of agreement.
- Build internal and external project teams.
- Develops key competencies in the companies' business intelligence tools, to assist managers and others in strategic decision making (markets, sectors, go/no-go, etc.) and making the best use of their time and efforts.
- Has the experience and know-how to facilitate strategy meetings for both client and major project pursuits.
- Regularly engages department, office, and regional management to keep them informed of activities and results, and regularly meets with supervisor to discuss progress on initiatives and plans as well as other items including career advancement.
- Travel nationally for client meetings and conferences is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related degree and 10 years' related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14 years related experience.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
- Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM)
