
Sr. Principal Software Integration & Test Engineer

- Installation and configuration of Linux and Windows hardware platforms, from the operating system up to the C2BMC-developed applications
- Document and verify all installation and configuration steps in the documentation to be delivered to the customer
- Develop installation scripts to automate system setup
- Create test plans and procedures for software integration testing, oversee the integration/execution, conduct detailed data analysis, and prepare software test reports
- Coordinate the execution of software integration tests to verify system operation
- Collaborate with software developers as needed to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems encountered during software integration
- Submit problem reports for errors identified
- Responsible for implementing all Information Assurance directives on the systems, including running IA scans
- Manage and coordinate daily integration activities with other local team members
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 6 years experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience, or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
- Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.), which is required to start
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% to support business needs
- Requires experience in integrating separate software components into a single system
- Strong technical skills in the following are required:
- Experience with Linux and Windows system administration, including installing and configuring systems from the OS level up
- Experience with VMWare systems administration and installation
- Experience with Information Assurance policies and procedures, and the ability to apply IA requirements to an existing system
- Experience with scripting and automation technologies
- Experience with Git
- Hands-on experience with automated test tools
- Ability to read and troubleshoot application source code
- Familiarity with Java and object-oriented development is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
- Knowledge or expertise in the C2BMC concept of operations and user interface is preferred
- Experience in writing installation manuals
- Must be able to produce precise, concise system installation and setup instructions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with software developers, system administrators, and analysis and test engineers
