Located in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is crucial in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.Relocation assistance is not provided for this position, as it requires on-site work with no remote options available.Position Overview:The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial component of the Missile Defense System. It provides a vital operational platform that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives.C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a critical component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.Essential Functions:
  • Installation and configuration of Linux and Windows hardware platforms, from the operating system up to the C2BMC-developed applications
  • Document and verify all installation and configuration steps in the documentation to be delivered to the customer
  • Develop installation scripts to automate system setup
  • Create test plans and procedures for software integration testing, oversee the integration/execution, conduct detailed data analysis, and prepare software test reports
  • Coordinate the execution of software integration tests to verify system operation
  • Collaborate with software developers as needed to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems encountered during software integration
  • Submit problem reports for errors identified
  • Responsible for implementing all Information Assurance directives on the systems, including running IA scans
  • Manage and coordinate daily integration activities with other local team members
Basic Qualifications:Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 6 years experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience, or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
  • Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.), which is required to start
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% to support business needs
  • Requires experience in integrating separate software components into a single system
  • Strong technical skills in the following are required:
  • Experience with Linux and Windows system administration, including installing and configuring systems from the OS level up
  • Experience with VMWare systems administration and installation
  • Experience with Information Assurance policies and procedures, and the ability to apply IA requirements to an existing system
  • Experience with scripting and automation technologies
  • Experience with Git
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with automated test tools
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot application source code
  • Familiarity with Java and object-oriented development is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
  • Knowledge or expertise in the C2BMC concept of operations and user interface is preferred
  • Experience in writing installation manuals
  • Must be able to produce precise, concise system installation and setup instructions
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with software developers, system administrators, and analysis and test engineers

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
