Dean's Professional Services is now hiring a qualified, patient-care-focused Food Service Worker to work for a Hospital Facility in Mount Vernon, IL.We are on a mission to create care that's more convenient and professional. To accomplish this, we are looking for individuals who share our sense of excellence and are ready to embrace new opportunities.The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing, serving, and delivering meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming food service environment. This role supports daily kitchen operations to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and portion food items according to menus and dietary requirements.
  • Serve meals to customers, patients, or staff in a courteous and timely manners.
  • Set up and maintain food service stations, dining areas, and serving lines
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of food items
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after use
  • Assist in receiving and stocking supplies
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Previous food service or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Required
  • 2+ years of Food Service Worker experience
  • Food Handler Certification
Job Details:
  • 8 hour shifts.
  • Must be flexible.
  • $15/hr + benefits.
  • Full benefits - healthcare, dental, vision, 401k program.
