Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of one year of college or business school
- Four years progressive experience with family advocacy and/or human resources
- Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English and Spanish
- Any other combination of related experience of related education, experience, and training.
60%-Employee Engagement
Acts as a resource for the Nutrition Services Operations Specialist in the recruitment, hiring, onboarding and retention of a diverse workforce. Conducts phone and in-person interviews. Participates in the facilitation of on-boarding activities such as new employee orientation and new hire follow up processes.
Provides support to Nutrition Services team members as needed to assist with personnel matters. Acts as back-up to the Resource Specialist to complete Roving Kitchen Staff assignments when necessary.15%- Customer Service & Communication
Embodies excellent customer service relations skills including a commitment to cultural diversity and equity. Greets visitors and communicates effectively with diverse populations. Communicates fluently in English and Spanish for both oral and written communications.15% Translation Services
Translates departmental materials into Spanish for on-boarding, orientations, training events, etc. Engages in Spanish interpretation for Spanish-speaking employees as necessary.10%- Compliance
Ensures compliance with Federal, State, Local and District regulations for form completion/reporting and human resources functions with great attention to detail.Additional Qualifications:
