The company continues to experience exponential month-over-month growth as one of the fastest-growing companies in the cannabis industry and we have begun our aggressive national expansion to all the legalized cannabis states in the USA.Position Summary:The Material Coordinator I is responsible for the accurate and efficient movement, tracking, and reporting of raw materials throughout the production process. This role ensures timely delivery of materials to production pods, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Material Coordinator collaborates closely with the production team to monitor material usage, waste metrics, and inventory levels, ensuring smooth production operations and improved efficiency.SCHEDULE: 2ND SHIFT - MONDAY - FRIDAY, 2:30PM - 11:00PMDuties/Responsibilities:
  • Material Management & Distribution:
  • Ensure timely and accurate replenishment of materials to production pods, maintaining adequate stock levels to prevent disruptions in production.
  • Manage inventory across various software platforms, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all data entries.
  • Validate and reconcile inbound material transfers from the warehouse and other departments, confirming correct quantities, color, size, and other specifications.
  • Inventory Control & Accuracy:
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and maintain accurate documentation of all inventory movements.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or inconsistencies in material tracking, collaborating with relevant teams.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations related to the storage and movement of raw materials.
  • Production Support & Waste Tracking:
  • Track and document production waste, analyzing the data to identify patterns, trends, or anomalies, and investigate potential causes to minimize future waste.
  • Communicate findings and improvement suggestions to management and the production team to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Data Reporting & Analysis:
  • Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to material usage, waste, and inventory accuracy, providing regular data reports to management.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure compliance with internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and state regulations for material storage, tracking, and movement.
  • Keep detailed records for audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of accuracy in material handling and data entry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory tracking systems, ERP/WMS platforms, and basic computer skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in material handling.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of state and internal regulations regarding material management and storage.
Education and Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control or a manufacturing environment with responsibilities for inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP, WMS, or other inventory management systems.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and lift up to 60 lbs. unassisted throughout a standard workday.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced production environment and perform physical tasks as needed.
