- Support and Manage the Events Department while working closely with the F&B and Operations Leadership team.
- Ability to assist the hotel in reaching top box service scores on our Meeting Planner surveys.
- Assist with ensuring thorough understanding of guests’ needs and other departments by reviewing Banquet Event Orders and having effective communication during Operations Meetings.
- Responsible for the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining standards of food, beverage and meeting specifications.
- Assist with coordination and execution of all events with Culinary, Stewarding, Sales/Events, Event Setup Services and Banquet Beverage.
- Maintain a positive, high-energy attitude with a professional appearance.
- Assist with developing innovative and creative décor for Banquet function space.
- Responsible for short and long-term banquet functions in the front and back of house.
- Supervise, empower, lead, coach and motivate the Banquet team including captains, food servers, and lead house attendants towards achieving exceptional guest service results and complete associate engagement.
- Collaborate on establishing the highest standards of quality service and ensure implementation through effective hiring, training development, promotion and continuous reinforcement.
- Administrative tasks may include the facilitation of reports, point of sale procedures, inventory and budget for food and beverage functions.
- Perform daily walk-throughs in banquet department and all function spaces and storerooms to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards.
- Ability to collaborate in developing ideas for special events and holiday functions.
- Greet guests and have a presence on the floor when needed.
- Foster an atmosphere where guests’ need, and satisfaction take top priority.
- Performs other functions as required by the Director of Food & Beverage and Culinary Operations and/or Hotel and guest needs.
- Assist with ensuring consistent guest service.
- On a day-to-day basis, monitor the service performance of the staff.
- Perform spot checks and enforce the service of all staff presentation and appearance is at or above standards.
- Assists with developing and updating all operating manuals.
- Assist with holding monthly departmental staff communications meetings.
- Actively participate in hotel meetings, food and beverage meetings, and other meetings as necessary.
- Foster a professional teamwork mentality among the staff and enforce a professional demeanor at all times with guests.
- Support implementation and reinforce hotel standards in food and beverage service and product presentation.
- Abide by all organizational policies and procedures.

- Hotel experience and a thorough understanding of all levels of banquet service
- Previous experience as an Event Services Banquet Manager/Assistant, Banquet Captain or Event Services/Banquet Supervisor preferred
