Position Summary... s a member of Intl EDF, you'll be part of the Omni Replenishment team responsible for building and supporting high impact, mission critical systems for the world's largest retailer. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing code changes required for special business requirements. You'll work with many cross-functional teams to handle monitoring issues, troubleshoot business and production issues. You'll be able to say that you work for the world's largest retailer and contribute to the development of best-in-class methodologies that impacted perception and drastically changed business as we know it.What you'll do...As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information; writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs; interacting with project manager to provide inputs on project plan; and providing updates to the project team. You will be more responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable full stack applications, including user interfaces, backend services, data pipelines, and AI/ML integrations.Architect, design, and implement end-to-end full stack applications using modern frameworksDevelop robust backend APIs and microservices, ensuring scalability, security, and performanceBuild and optimize data pipelines for real-time and batch processingEnsure all solutions comply with Walmart's Solution Security Plan (SSP), data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirementsImplement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring for production-grade deploymentsCollaborate with product managers, and other engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software engineering, security, and DevOpsWhat you'll bring:Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field and 5+ years on large-scale distributed system or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of experience building scalable backend applicationsProficiency in Java with experience in Microservices, Object-Oriented Design, and Event-Driven ArchitecturesDesired Technology Stack: Java, React JS,Kafka, Cosmos DB, and experience with Cloud Platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWSWorking experience with multithreading, data structures, algorithms and design patternsHigh-level proficiency in developing REST APIs using Java & SpringbootKnowledge of Cloud technologies GCP or Azure, and knowledge on RDBMS, CosmosDB and CI/CDExperience with message queues - Kafka, Azure Service busExperience on unit testing frameworks (Junit, Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library, etc) and code quality control platforms like SonarExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and KubernetesAbility to adapt to change quickly, willingness to learn new and emerging technologiesA disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation, and code structure in a team environmentExperience with being a core contributor to a software project: understanding domain and business requirements, being responsible for critical parts of the applicationExperience working with logging and application monitoring stack: Grafana, DynatraceGood communication skills, working in multi-team projectA constant desire to improve, learn more, and take things to the next level, and a passion for adopting the latest features in the technologies that we leverageExperience in AI tools to improve the developer productivity in creating applicationsExperience in AI, Gen AI, Agentic AI, LLM's, creating chatbots, etc.About Walmart Global Tech
