- Oversee day-to-day operations and ongoing maintenance of regional IT infrastructure, including on-premises servers, networks, databases, and cloud-based platforms.
- Ensure optimal system reliability, availability, performance, and scalability through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and incident resolution.
- Maintain 100% effectiveness of regional data backup and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, ensuring readiness for rapid recovery across all supported environments.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure performance, SLAs, and value delivery.
- Partner with regional legal and procurement teams to coordinate renewals, renegotiations, and enhancements of existing contracts in alignment with corporate guidelines.
- Lead and own regional DR strategy and execution, ensuring compliance with business continuity objectives and global IT standards.
- Conduct regular DR testing and validation with stakeholders to confirm operational readiness.
- Collaborate with the Corporate IT team to standardize and roll out core IT technologies across regions, ensuring consistent architecture, tools, and processes.
- Bridge communication between regional and offshore support teams to align project execution and operational priorities.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of IT systems and data in accordance with global policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GxP, GDPR).
- Exposure to Security tools like EDR, Zscaler etc.
- Roll out enhanced security measures in partnership with Global IT security leadership, assessing regional risks and implementing mitigation plans.
- Lead the continual optimization of regional IT infrastructure, ensuring scalable, resilient, and cost-effective platforms across data centers and cloud environments.
- Develop future-proof topology and capacity plans for physical and virtual assets, proactively identifying opportunities for consolidation, automation, and technology refresh
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, providing strategic recommendations to corporate IT leaders for improving infrastructure agility, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects and global IT leaders to establish infrastructure blueprints, standards, and reference models that support long-term business growth.
- Contribute to strategic IT planning, presenting infrastructure improvement proposals—including ROI analyses and risk assessments—to corporate leadership for informed decision-making.
- Act as the regional liaison for IT operations, representing Americas & EMEA within global IT programs and steering committees.
- Partner with regional IT teams and business units to align infrastructure capabilities with evolving business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- 12+ years in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure management for large, distributed enterprises (pharma or regulated industry preferred).
- Strong background in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), virtualization, networks, and data center operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, contract negotiations, and SLA governance.
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices and enterprise monitoring tools.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of compliance / security standards relevant to pharmaceuticals & healthcare (e.g., ISO 27001, GxP, GDPR, HIPAA).
