Skills & Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- University degree in supply chain management, construction management, engineering, or a related field; or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Extensive experience in materials control, logistics, or supply chain operations within industrial sectors such as energy, chemicals, or resources.
- Proven experience working at a senior level in material control, with the ability to lead or mentor others.
- Technical Knowledge
- Advanced understanding of engineering documentation, including blueprints, bills of materials, and specifications.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial materials, equipment, and supplies commonly used in large-scale construction or refinery operations.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and materials control software.
- Decision Making & Problem Solving
- Ability to work independently with self-directed problem-solving.
- Skilled at planning, prioritizing, and executing tasks while managing multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines.
- Experience developing and optimizing delivery and material handling processes.
- Communication & Collaboration
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively across teams and disciplines.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and client representatives to ensure project alignment and smooth material flow.
- Leadership & Teamwork
- Experience leading functional project teams or acting as a senior advisor within material control operations.
