Coterra is hiring a Volume Controller in Houston, TexasJOB SUMMARYAs a Volume Controller at Coterra, you will manage the marketing and flow of natural gas and other products, including nominations, allocations, confirmations, and balancing. This customer-facing role involves working with internal teams, control rooms, and external partners to optimize production, forecast volumes, and resolve discrepancies. You will also help manage pipeline logistics and mitigate maintenance impacts. This onsite position at our Houston headquarters requires participation in an on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis position plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication between operations, commercial teams, and external stakeholders, driving efficiency and reliability in our natural gas marketing and scheduling processes.Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, operations teams, and commercial groups regarding volume flow, nominations, and allocationsForecast production volumes available for sale daily and monthly, ensuring accuracy and alignment with commercial objectivesPrepare production estimates for bid week and coordinates sales with Account ExecutivesTrack volumes and confirms working interest owner allocations within the pipelineManage pipeline imbalance and cash-out paymentsMonitor pipeline electronic bulletin boards for critical information and analyzes interstate transportation tariffs and intrastate statements of operating conditionsDevelop and maintains commodity market intelligence and distributes information as neededWork closely with control rooms and field operations teams to optimize production, mitigate maintenance impacts, and ensure accurate volume forecastingInteract with external pipeline operators, producers, and customers to resolve disputes related to operational issues, balance discrepancies, or invoicesSKILLS AND EXPERIENCEEstablished proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelPrior experience with an ETRM preferredStrong communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, build key relationships, and work independently with minimal oversightDependable, regular and reliable attendanceEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree required, MBA or Master's in Energy or Finance preferredYEARS OF EXPERIENCEMinimum: 3 years of Oil and Gas Scheduling ExperienceTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS10% travel may be required for training or professional conferencesABOUT COTERRA ENERGYCoterra Energy Inc. was formed in October 2021 as the result of a merger between Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation and Cimarex Energy.
