This client is active across 50+ markets around the world, and OMD plays an active role in business conversations both globally and locally. Media doesn't just have a seat at the table - it's driving innovation and business growth.The role will report into the Managing Director, Global Business Lead, and will regularly interface with the extended global team (based in Chicago, London, and Singapore), OMD teams in 50+ countries, and global clients.The Senior Director, Global Strategy and Planning role will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership at OMD and the client, as well as key media partners and partner agencies. The role is an integral part of a globally connected, high-performing community, and will function as a trusted partner to the other disciplines within the global team (Partnerships, Marketing Science, Data and Tech, Operations, Transformation).What we do for our clientOMD's global commitment to our client is to provide strategic leadership across countries, and to act as a business partner, in media and beyond. We strive to continually deliver innovation and keep ahead of consumers' media habits, while ensuring media efficiency, effectiveness and value.All of this requires a strong foundation of best practice in one of our most core competencies - media strategy and planning. The Senior Director, Global Strategy and Planning will own the development of media strategy and planning standards, working in partnership with our global clients and our markets to define what good - and great - looks like; codifying those standards; and scaling them across the network.Key Projects/Areas of Focus
  • Design, develop, and execute plans to ensure optimal market and data-led development and delivery of strategic media planning guidance, including the application of MMM and other data sources to the media planning process
  • Develop and manage relationships with clients to address their needs in data-driven media planning
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve media planning capability, including through the application of data, processes, and team/client education
  • Collaborate with broader team on thought leadership to drive excellence in media planning, including use of data within media planning/execution
  • Identifying Client's business challenges and forming hypotheses and solutions on how better media planning strategies and processes can influence client goals
  • Partner with regional and local market teams to understand needs, develop projects, and embed solutions; additionally, partner with local market teams to craft case studies focused on best-in-class examples of media planning and execution
  • Developing and managing project plans, ensuring proper and timely completion of all critical tasks and delivery against client and agency needs
  • Collaborating across the internal global team, broader OMD and OMG teams, and senior client teams to have the right perspectives involved and aligned to in solving key business challenges
Competencies
  • 10+ years of media strategy and planning experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication required - can effectively and comfortably communicate, write clear and concise emails, provide thorough instructions for requests
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence without authority
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications required, especially Excel and Powerpoint
  • Prior global experience preferred

#LI-KR1This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.Compensation Range$120,000—$230,000 USDThis role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
